Override an Employee's Self-Review
Managers can override an employee's self-review when it is no longer necessary for the employee to complete it. Overriding a self-review removes the employee's review request and allows the review process to continue.
Note: Overriding a self-review does not score the employee's review. It simply removes the employee's requirement to complete their self-review.
When to Override a Self-Review
You may want to override a self-review if:
- The employee is unable to complete their self-review.
- The review timeline requires the process to move forward.
- Your organization's review process no longer requires employee input for that review.
Override a Self-Review
-
Open the employee's review.

- Navigate to the Manager Review tab.
-
Locate the employee's self-review status.

- Select Override Self-Review.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
The employee's self-review request is removed, and the review can continue through the normal workflow.
After Overriding
Once the self-review has been overridden:
- The employee is no longer prompted to complete the self-review.
- Managers can continue scoring the review.
- The review proceeds through the remaining workflow according to your organization's review process.

Summary
Overriding a self-review allows managers to continue the review process when an employee's self-review is no longer needed. This action removes the employee's review request while allowing the manager to complete the performance evaluation.
