How to Adjust the Weights of Goals

As a manager, you have the ability to edit the individual weights of goals on an employee's review. Once you've logged into your Trakstar dashboard, select into the employee's review from the Direct Reports section of your dashboard.

Once you're in the employee's review, make sure you are selected into the Goals and Notes tab of the review. Here, you will see an Edit Weights button towards the upper lefthand side of the review. This button is located above the various sections that are part of the employee's review!

Selecting the Edit Weights button will populate a box that lists the weights for all elements. You can scroll to the goals section, where we can see in the example below that the goals are weighted equally. Often, goals may be weighted equally, but in some cases, certain goals may need to carry a heavier weight than others.

While the total weight of each goal needs to equal 100%, you can edit the individual weights as needed to reach this. For example, let's adjust one of the goals in the example below to be 60%. We can then adjust the other goal to be 40%.

Once you adjust the weights, you can then select Save so that these are the weights that apply when the review needs to be scored.
