How to Approve or Disapprove a Review

If you are included in the approval step of your company's performance reviews, you have the ability to approve or disapprove reviews.


If you're needing to know how to approve a review or are unsure how to go about disapproving a review, we've got the steps for you below!

When you are requested to approve an employee's review, you may receive an email from Trakstar. When logging into Trakstar, you'll be able to see this request on your dashboard under the Requests section. Here, you can select the Review for Approval button to view the employee's review.

You can scroll to view all of the ratings and comments, and you'll have the ability to leave comments as well, which will be viewable to the employee's direct manager.

If you'd like to approve the review, you can select the Approve button listed at the top of the review.

Selecting this will populate an optional comment box - here, you can leave any final comment you'd like for the employee's direct manager to see regarding your approval.

If you would like for something to be changed or updated within the review, you can select the Disapprove button instead. This will populate a mandatory comment box so that you can let the manager know what changes need to be made.

Once the changes are made, the approval will return to you at a later time to review again, and the request to approve the review will disappear from your dashboard once your approval is complete!
