Address a Disapproved Review
If a performance review is disapproved during the approval process, the review is returned to the manager for updates. After making the requested changes, the manager can resubmit the review for approval.
Review the Disapproval Comments
When a review is disapproved, the approver provides comments explaining what needs to be updated.
Review the feedback carefully before making any changes to the review.

Update the Review
Open the employee's review and make the requested changes.
Depending on the approver's feedback, you may need to update:
- Competency ratings
- Manager comments
- Goals or measurements
- Overall review content
- Approval routing (if applicable)
Ensure all requested revisions have been completed before resubmitting the review.
Resubmit the Review for Approval
After making the necessary updates:
- Open the Approval tab.
- Review the approval route, if applicable.
- (Optional) Add guidance or comments for the approver.
- Select Send for Approval.
The review is routed back through your organization's approval workflow.

Tips
Before resubmitting a disapproved review:
- Verify that all requested changes have been addressed.
- Review ratings and comments for accuracy.
- Confirm the correct approval route has been selected.
Taking a few moments to review the evaluation can help avoid additional approval delays.
