Rating Distribution Report
The Rating Distribution Report shows the frequency of ratings for overall performance and individual competencies across employee reviews.
Use this report to evaluate how ratings are distributed throughout your organization, identify scoring patterns, and determine whether performance evaluations are being applied consistently across teams or employee groups.
Access the Rating Distribution Report
- Sign in to Trakstar Perform as an Administrator or Manager.
- From the navigation bar, select Reports.
- Click Rating Distribution.

Select the Review Data
Under Documents, select the review documents you want to include in the report.
If the default document lists don't meet your needs, create a New Custom List to build a report using your own selection criteria.
Refine the Report
Use the Group By list to organize the report by the group you want to analyze.
Managers can also choose the report scope by viewing either:
- Direct reports
- All subordinates
Understand the Chart
The report displays rating distributions using rectangles (bars).
- Each rectangle represents a group of review documents that received the same rating.
- Larger rectangles indicate a greater number of reviews with that rating.
- Smaller rectangles represent fewer reviews at that rating level.
Hover over a rectangle to display additional information about the group of reviews it represents.
For example, a rectangle may represent all reviews for employees in a specific position that received a particular performance rating.

View Detailed Results
Select a rectangle in the chart to display the individual review documents that make up that rating group.
Additional details appear below the chart, allowing you to:
- Review the employees included in the selected rating group.
- View ratings by position or other grouping.
- Examine the individual review documents that contributed to the distribution.
Use the Report
The Rating Distribution Report can help you:
- Identify whether managers are applying ratings consistently.
- Compare rating distributions across departments, locations, or other groups.
- Recognize teams or individuals who are consistently performing at a high level.
- Identify areas where additional coaching or support may be needed.
