Icon and Button Glossary
Trakstar Perform uses icons and buttons throughout the application to indicate the status of reviews and available actions. This glossary explains the most common icons and buttons you may encounter as an employee, manager, or site administrator.
Review Status Icons
These icons appear throughout the Reviews area to indicate the current status of a review or a specific review step.
Green Checkmark

The Green Checkmark indicates that a review step or phase has been completed.
For example, managers and site administrators may see a green checkmark in the Employee column of the Reviews page, indicating the employee has completed their portion of the review.
Orange Circle

The Orange Circle indicates that a review step is still in progress.
Examples include:
- An employee's self-review before it has been submitted.
- A manager's review before it has been submitted for approval.
Pause Icon

The Pause icon indicates that the review is currently waiting in the approval workflow.
This status means the review is awaiting action from a required approver before the process can continue.
Depending on your organization's review process, this may also be an appropriate time for a manager and employee to meet to discuss the review.
Override Icon

The Override icon indicates that a manager or site administrator has skipped or overridden a step in the review process.
For example, if an employee's self-review is overridden, the employee is not required to complete that portion of the review.
Review Icons in Employee Profiles
These icons appear when viewing reviews within an employee profile.
Green Flag

The Green Flag indicates that the review is currently in the Scoring phase.
During this phase, employees and managers can complete evaluations and, depending on your organization's configuration, continue adding notes or goals.
Yellow Star

The Yellow Star indicates that the review is in the Goals and Notes phase.
During this phase, managers and employees (if self-reviews are enabled) can begin adding goals and notes to the review.
Gray Box

The Gray Box indicates that the review has been Archived.
Archived reviews have been completed but can be restored if scoring updates are required.
Yellow Clock

The Yellow Clock indicates a Future Review.
Future reviews allow employees to begin setting goals and taking notes for an upcoming review period while the current review remains active.
Once the current review is archived, the future review becomes the current review.
Red X

The Red X indicates that a review has been Canceled.
Canceled reviews:
- Cannot be restored.
- Are no longer accessible to employees or managers from their dashboards.
- Remain available to administrators, who can view and download PDF copies from the Canceled Reviews tab.
Review Buttons
The following buttons appear at different stages of the review cycle.
Set Goals

The Set Goals button appears when a review is in the Goals and Notes phase.
During this phase, employees and managers (based on permissions) can add goals to the review.
Although goals can generally be added until the review is submitted for approval, it's recommended to add them during the Goals and Notes phase whenever possible.
Take Notes

Some organizations choose not to use goals within their review process.
When goals are disabled, employees and managers can continue documenting accomplishments by creating notes.
To add a note:
- Open your profile.
- Select Notes > New Note or My Notes from the navigation menu.
Score Review

The Score Review button appears when a review enters the Scoring phase.
Selecting Score Review opens the review so employees or managers can complete their evaluation and provide ratings and comments.
