Note: To support the vast majority of customers and their review Process configurations, our design considerations for this dashboard were designed to be aligned with our Trakstar Best Practices. As such, using this feature requires using a numeric Rating Scale.

Dashboard Items

Review Score Comparisons

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR Leader, I need to be able to speak to how my organization is performing and if my organization’s score is good or bad.

This comparison's value helps provide an easy comparative metric to assess how performance has trended within your organization. As organizations strive to acquire top talent, HR leaders need a way to measure progress quantitatively. Trakstar Perform Insights can deliver a meaningful comparison metric to continuously measure progress throughout the year as employee reviews are completed.

Definitions

Avg. Score of Archived Reviews - This value represents the average review score of your organization’s reviews archived within the date range selected by the user through the dashboard filter. All reviews are converted to a 100 pt. Scale.

Prior Archived Review Avg. Score - This value represents the average review score for your organization’s employees, considering the immediate prior reviews for the selected date range.

Review Score Percentiles

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR leader, I need to identify which groups have the highest concentration of top and bottom performers.

This analysis provides a summary visual that lets you quickly assess how the employees have performed throughout your organization. It also provides you the org-wide score percentiles to clearly define performance categories.

Definitions

Top Performance category - This category holds the percentage of group employees with a review score higher than the 80th percentile.

Middle-Performance category - This category holds the percentage of employees in a group with a review score less than the 80th percentile but more significant than the 10th percentile.

Bottom Performance category - This category holds the percentage of employees in a group with a review score less than the 10th percentile.

You can drill down further by clicking on each category in the graph. This visualization will update automatically to display data for the category you choose.

For example: In the above screenshot, it can be seen that 26% of employees fall in the Bottom performance category. At the same time, 56% and 18% of employees fall in the Middle and Top categories, respectively.

Timeliness of Most Recent Reviews

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR leader, I must identify how many reviews were completed on time.

This visual helps you track the timeliness of review completion within your organization. This equips you with the details to take necessary actions to ensure compliance with deadlines and speed up the review process in upcoming cycles.

Definitions

On-time completion rate - The percentage of reviews archived on or before the due date (review’s archive by date).

Past Due completion rate - The percentage of reviews archived after the due date (review’s archive by date).

For example: In the screenshot given above, out of the 93 reviews which fall under user selected date range, 48 (52%) were archived after the due date, and 45 (48%) were archived before the due date.

360-Feedback Utilization

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR leader, I need to be able to identify how extensively is 360 feedback used in my organization. This metric showcases how much an organization’s review process has been collaborative. The utilization of 360-Rater Feedback provides better, more well-rounded, and more diverse feedback. They help identify areas of improvement for an employee when the same feedback surfaces from all around (peers, supervisors, and direct reports).

Definitions

Percentage of most recent reviews with 360 feedback - The percentage of reviews that received 360 feedback

Review Score Distribution

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR leader, I need to know the frequency distribution of review scores.

This visual gives an HR leader a quick overview of their organization's most commonly obtained review scores. This helps them get a pulse on how the employees performed in their latest assessment.

Definitions

Distribution of Most Recent Review Scores - The number of employees scored in a given range.

Review Score Distribution by Manager

What does this tell me, and why does it matter?

As an HR leader, I need the ability to identify how managers rate their employees to evaluate and view any rater bias.

This visual shows the range that managers rate their employees, plotted on a 100-point scale.

Definitions

  • Rectangle size represents the proportion of the employee count in that group compared to the overall headcount for that group type. The box and whisker plots show the range of each manager, and hovering over the box will display additional insight, such as averages of the scores.
  • You can view specific groups based on the filters at the top of the page, and drill down to specific managers.

Filtering Capabilities

Review Type

The Review Process Type Filter allows you to filter the dashboard to consider only those reviews of that type. This allows you to select one or more review types specific to their Perform instance. By default, the dashboard considers all types of reviews.

Choosing a different set of values will change all dashboard visualizations.

Group Type

The Group Type filter allows you to adjust dashboard visualizations to display data grouped by different group types defined for your Perform instance.

This feature allows you to look at review scores organized by different groupings.

Group

Once you select your Group Type, you can then select the relevant Groups that reside under that type. This allows you to only view the group or groups that you choose in your dashboard.

Position

You can select which Positions you'd like to view on the dashboard.

Choosing a different set of values will change all dashboard visualizations that display data by group values.

Archive Date

The archive date filter allows you to adjust dashboard visualizations to display data only for the reviews archived within a specified date range. The date picker allows several options to filter the date ranges by year, month, or week. You can even click on the date fields and enter values manually in the given format.
