Integration: Connect TalentReef to Trakstar Perform

This article explains how the TalentReef → Trakstar Perform integration works, what it’s best used for, and key considerations before enabling it.

🧠 Overview

The TalentReef integration allows you to automatically add newly hired employees into Trakstar Perform. This is a lightweight, one-way (unidirectional) connection intended to reduce manual data entry when onboarding new hires into your performance management system.

✅ Use Case

This integration is a great fit for organizations that:

- Use both TalentReef and Trakstar Perform

- Want newly hired employees to appear in Perform shortly after hire

- Are looking to reduce manual user creation and administrative burden

It’s especially helpful for high-volume hiring environments such as retail, hospitality, or food service — where employees need to be added to Perform for things like annual reviews or goal tracking.

🚫 What This Integration Does Not Do

The TalentReef integration does not support:

- Review cycles, form assignment, or process setup

- Employee terminations or deactivations

- Bi-directional sync (no data flows back to TalentReef)

- Manager assignments or deep user lifecycle updates

Customers will still need to manage those functions manually within Perform.

💡 How It Works

Once enabled:

- New hires in TalentReef are automatically added to Trakstar Perform as employees.

- Basic user profile information is transferred (e.g., name, email, hire date).

- No action is required from your team once the connection is established.

This helps ensure your people are available in Perform for development planning, reviews, or tracking — without re-entering data.

Before enabling this integration, ask:

Is TalentReef your primary source of truth for employee data?

If you're using an HRIS or payroll system (like UKG, ADP, or Paylocity) to manage employee data, we may recommend a different integration that provides deeper coverage — including employee updates, manager changes, and terminations.
