Welcome to the New Trakstar Perform UI
We’ve refreshed the Trakstar Perform UI to make it simpler, cleaner, and easier to navigate. This guide walks through what’s changed for Admins, Managers, and Employees so you can get familiar with the new experience.

🛠️ Administrator View
The Admin interface now feels more organized, with improvements to navigation, employee profiles, and review management.
Navigation & Sidebar
The sidebar has been cleaned up and is now collapsible, giving you more screen space.

Other updates:
- Search bar: same functionality, cleaner look.
- Icons: simplified for easier recognition.
Notifications: new top-bar area to track background jobs (bulk updates, form saves, etc.).
Employee Profile
The employee profile has been redesigned so information flows with the sidebar instead of being stacked at the top.
- Edit fields inline (hover, click the ✏️, then save ✔️ or cancel ❌).
Login as Employee and Send Welcome Email buttons are more visible.
Tabs inside the profile:
- Reviews: see active and archived reviews, create new sets, or edit details. Filtering available by process, manager, and more!
- Notes: all notes tied to the employee (search + filter supported). Shows private vs. public notes.
- Documents: renamed from “Employee Folder.” Holds uploaded files and review attachments.
- Activity Log: now a dedicated tab, with paging and sorting options.
Terminate: button moved to the bottom of the profile
👩💼 Manager View
Managers now have clearer dashboards and a central place to track team activity.
Dashboard
When logging in as a manager, you’ll immediately see:
- To-Do List: tasks grouped into All Tasks, Myself (e.g., self-review), and My Team (direct report reviews). Filters make it easy to separate review tasks from requests (e.g., surveys)
My Team Activity: a live feed of team updates — new notes, goal changes, and progress updates — in one place.
Notes & Feedback
Note-taking is more flexible:
- Add notes without opening a review.
- Tag them to specific criteria or leave them general.
- Choose Private (visible only to you) or Visible to Manager.
Edit or delete notes from the three-dot menu.
There’s also a Central Notes Hub on the sidebar, where you can switch views between your own notes, your team’s notes, or all employees (depending on your company’s note settings). This acts like a searchable history of feedback across your team. You can also create notes for yourself or others from this same notes hub!
Sidebar
The manager sidebar makes it simple to navigate:
- Employee Profile: access your own profile with greater ease.
- Notes: view/create notes for yourself, your team, and others
Reviews Tab: view your own current or archived reviews
- Direct Reports: quick access to all team members, including indirect reports.
- Employee Reviews: view the current and archived reviews for your team
Custom Review Lists: visible if shared by admins.
👤 Employee View
The employee experience has been streamlined and enhanced, while keeping all essential tools within reach.
Dashboard
Employees see a simplified view of their responsibilities:
- To-Do List: tasks categorized into All, Reviews, or Requests. Clicking a row takes you straight to the action.
Team Activity: will reflect any updates made by your manager (addition of notes and goals, for example)
Employee Profile
From their profile, employees can:
- Add private or public notes.
- View notes shared with them by managers or peers (if note sharing is enabled).
- Upload and view documents.
Check their activity log.
Sidebar
The employee sidebar has also been updated for greater navigational ease.
- Employee Profile: a quicker and more visible way for employees to access their profiles
- Notes: a central notes hub where they can view/create notes for themselves or others
- Reviews: access and view the current or historical reviews
