Company Pulse Survey - Reporting on Engagement
Engagement surveys offer valuable feedback on your employees. Learn more about the options available in Perform and how to set them up here!
Now that you have all this information and data from your employees, let's take a closer look at engagement surveys' analytics and reporting capabilities.
Pro Tip! Some companies like to create a shared login for the HR team to send engagement surveys. This allows any user who logs in to access and view the engagement survey data. This also allows every employee to participate in the survey, as the user who initiates the survey will not be sent the survey.
Getting Started
From the left navigation bar, click on Engagement, then scroll down to view your surveys. Click on View Results to the right of the survey you'd like to take a closer look at.
Company Pulse Analytics
The company pulse survey offers insight into the overall engagement of your employees based on the surveys sent out. Viewing the results, you'll see three tabs at the top: Overview, Analysis, and Questions. Each can be further filtered by group, employee status (active vs. terminated), and the survey range.
You also can export this data as a CSV or PDF in the top right corner if you want to take further action on it outside of the system or save it externally.
The Overview offers vital statistics and data, such as how many respondents you had and the overall response rate.
It also displays the engagement scores based on how the survey questions match the three critical components of mastery, autonomy, and purpose. We consider a healthy engagement score to be in the 70s, so you may want to take a closer look at any that are lower to see what can be improved for your organization. Analysis
The Analysis tab has various ways to look at your data. You can compare groups to see how their scores compare and the highs and lows. The engagement scores are also broken across the three key components.
You'll also see the word cloud, populated with words frequently mentioned in the comments. The bigger the word, the more times it has been mentioned. You can click on any of the words to pull up comments that contain them, which will display below the word cloud.
Questions
Questions allow you to take a closer look at your employees' answers. You can select from the three key components to drill down and view the questions that relate to them.
Custom Survey Analytics
The custom survey analytics is broken down into two sections: the overview and the individual responses.
The overview will display the overall score of the survey. The score is an easy way to keep tabs on the progress of surveys created from Trakstar templates. It calculates an average of all rating scale answers and applies them to a scale of 0-100. This allows you to compare across rating scales and get a high-level understanding of employee engagement.
You can filter responses by group (if applicable) and employee status (active vs. terminated).
When you scroll down, you will see your questions and responses. If a comment option were included, you'd also see a word cloud, with the most frequently mentioned words displaying the largest. You can hover over any word to see how many times it was mentioned.
The Individual Responses section allows you to look at the responses of each respondent. You can filter here or select a specific employee to view what they wrote.
Print Capabilities
You can also view the number of respondents and response rate and it can be printed via your local printer, or by selecting "print to PDF" to save the file directly to your computer in PDF format.
Export Capabilities
Users have the option to export this table as a CSV or Excel file and analyze the survey data outside of the dashboard.
To use or view specific data in Excel or CSV file, hover your mouse near the top right corner and click the three dots. A pop-up menu will appear allowing you to export the tables in CSV or Excel form.
